Special Visit with a Special Mission
On November 16th, 2007, Frederick and GranTops had the honor to welcome Mayor Ritelza Cabral, from Aquiraz/Ceara, Brazil. This visit formally recognized the agreement between Aquiraz and Frederick becoming a Sister City through it’s International Association Program.
Mayor Ritelza was taken on a tour of the City of Frederick and taken to local businesses which participate with Brazil. After two days of visiting Frederick, both cities are now officially partners and ready to start business and international exchange programs.

Brazil Granite Fair 2007
STON’ART GALLERIA, the only exotic granite showroom in the Washington/Baltimore area is again promoting a trip for Architects, Interior Designers, and Kitchen & Bath dealers to the 22st Edition of the International Marble & Granite Fair in Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil on February 6th-9th, 2007. This is the second largest stone trade convention in the world. The promoter of the Vitoria Show in the Washington/Baltimore area is going to be Home & Design Magazine. The theme of this year’s show will be “The American Kitchen”. This theme was chosen due to the fact that 80% of the granite exported from Brazil ends up as American kitchen countertops. “The American Kitchen” for 2007 will be designed by Studio Nuovo, Ricardo Ramos and Sheree Friedman.
There will be a contest held in 2007 sponsored through Home & Design Magazine awarding the winner of the best “American Kitchen’s Design” a trip to the show in 2008! All architects and designers are eligible to participate.
