Meet Our GranTops Team

This month is the month to introduce our Accountant, Betty Hedges .

With the desk full of documents, contracts, payrolls and checks, Betty Hedges, GranTops accountant, takes good care of our Accounting Department. If you don’t find her at her desk, take a look in our yard and you will see her watering the plants.

Haroldo J. Seidl Community Center

We are about to finish the Haroldo J. Seidl Community Center, located in Aquiraz, Ceara, Brazil. More than 50 volunteers have helped to build it along the way through the medical,
dentist, and students missions. The community of Aquiraz is anxious to see the center opened, which will help to develop the community and provide skills for better job opportunities.

From June 2nd to 9th of 2006, the Community center will receive the
visit of 14 dentists from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are planning another successful mission
and the Grand Opening.

Volunteer Team

Last month GranTops took another volunteer mission to Aquiraz/Brazil through MissionServ International. This time the theme was a Musical Mission with 40 students from HVA Orchestra (Highland View Academy – Hagerstown). The trip took place from March 23rd to April 2nd.

The students spent time in Brazil playing songs, finishing the community center and doing mosaic art work. Besides a very nice cultural exchange, the volunteers enjoyed their Spring Break leaving something behind, making a difference in the life of Brazilian kids.
